Meet your hosts

I am Nell. I have lived in this part of Virginia for most of my adult life. I was a school librarian for many years, raised three children, planted too many things, moved them, planted them again, and eventually learned that gardens do not care about plans nearly as much as gardeners do. My late husband and I bought Clover Hill in 1965. It was out first marital house I like hosting people who want to enjoy the area rather than be entertained by the house. I will give you directions, tell you where I would eat, explain what is ripe, and come over if the water heater gets wonky.
